With a crew of over 60 people, the story of Mourning Dove is being brought to life and coming to your screen this year. A tender father-daughter story inspired by films like "Beasts of the Southern Wild" (2012) and "Captain Fantastic" (2016). Mourning Dove will begin its festival submission process this summer. This film powerfully encompasses the feeling of loving someone who isn't good for you. It shows how when you care deeply for someone, platonic or familial, it can be easy to forgive them, no matter what they've done. Mourning Dove is about love and loss and tells a beautiful story that captures these feelings completely.
